About Hampton Township

Hampton Township is home to the Depreciation Lands Museum and Park, designed to preserve and document the early years of European settlements left to soldiers for their service in the Revolutionary War. Not only does the area have this historic museum, but some of the houses in Hampton were involved in the Underground Railroad, aiding in the freedom of slaves during the Civil War era.
